When you get a pedicure in cold weather, you may feel chill and have to go home in flip flops or wrap your feet in plastic, put your shoes back on, and hoping for the best. There is a solution. You can use pedicure socks to solve both those problems. Put them on before your pedicure and your feet will stay nice and warm for your walk or drive home and your polish will stay perfect in any kind of weather!.

These socks are usually used in Spas. It is an open toed sock that protects your pedicure to keep your feet clean and lock in moisture post-pedi.

Also, when using pedicure socks, there is no need for uncomfortable toe separators.Similar Posts:

Someone with toenail pain feels discomfort around the toenail. Toenail pain could be the result of infection, injury, or inflammation.

Ranging from simple causes to situations that need immediate medical care, toenail pain is often ignored until it can no longer be tolerated. Prompt treatments for the cause may be the key to quick cure and reduction of the pain.

Toenail pain has many causes, all of which are treatable. Having the toenail / foot evaluated in a timely manner will prevent having to endure pain unnecessarily.

Most toenail pain is cause by ingrown toenail. An ingrown toenail will involve pain and inflammation, and will cause chronic symptoms that come and go frequently. If not well treated, the infection may be potentially spread at any point and may eventually affect the toe bone underneath.

Other causes of toenail pain can include nail fungus infection. Nail fungus can make the nails to become thickened, loosened, discolored, and crumbly. The nail thickness causes pains when it strikes the shoe during daily activity.

Treatment requires prescription medication to eliminate nail fungus infection, and usually needs oral medication to get the medication to the hard to reach area under the nail. Other potential treatment for nail fungus pain can include smoothing out the nails reducing the prominence in one’s shoes.

Other common toenail pain problem seen in runners, walkers, and treadmill users are bruising and loosening of the toenails. When shoes are a bit too long, the foot will piston in and out of the shoe, resulting in low level injury to the toenail tips.

Shoes that are too tight will result a similar problem. The nails will subsequently bruise and loosen. This can be prevented by wearing properly sized shoes.

Many times, bruised nails will occure as the result of injury, such as stubbing the toe or dropping an object on it. If the bruise is small, you can simply wait and allow the nail to grow out as long as any pain goes away after a few days. If the bruise covers more than a third to one-half of the toenail itself, then you might need to have that nail evaluated as there may be a cut in the skin under the nail and the pressure may need to be released in order for the toe to heal properly.

Having a toenail not growing is a rare thing unless there is something really wrong with the toe (indicated by swelling, inflammation, pain, discoloration, etc.), there is probably not a problem.

When you think your toenails are not growing, you might be wrong. Wait and see if a month changes your perspective. The nail will probably have inched forward a bit by that time. There are some possibilities that will make you think that way.

Toenail might be growing but it being worn down or destroyed so fast at the tip that no growth is visible. Sometimes activities like a daily walk will wear away the tips of the nails so that they never have to be cut.

Infectious causes can also result in toenails worn down. Fungal infections of the nails often make nails soft and crumbly, so that they come apart and remain short. Infected nails are usually yellowish or brownish, thick, distorted and unhealthy looking. An antifungal treatment of some kind is needed to resolve this kind of problem.

When the two reasons above is not the case, then maybe you truly have a toenail not growing. It could be that the root of the nail is damaged.

The toenail root is hidden under the flesh at the base of the nail, between the knuckle and the cuticle. Specialized cells here pack together dead skin cells into dense layers to form the nail.

There could be various reasons that damage toenails root, ranging from physical damage to the root, to drug side effects, or disease processes. When there is no obvious history of finger or nail injury to explain a toenail not growing, a doctor should be consulted.
