I dropped a huge, heavy metal can of fruit on my big toe last summer. It hurt pretty bad and was gushing blood from the bottom of the nail. Now, six months later, the injured part has grown up the the center of the nail. This part is now white and a little brown just in the center and is pulling up from the side like it’s going to fall off, yet the bottom of my nail by the nail bed looks normal and the top of the nail is normal too, so it’s not like the whole thing is going to come off. I have no idea what to do because I’m worried it’s going to snag and rip off the healthy nail too and bleed really bad. I’m scared because I’ve never had anything like this happen. What should I do?
