I’ve lost my thumbnail due to ugly nail fungus. Will a new one grow in or am I destined to wearing a bandaid?

I bought Broadway Nails Real Life Toenail Kit & want to put them on to cover up my ugly big toe (I’m putting them on all my toes) so my feet will look pretty in flip flops & no one will see my ugly toenail. Is it ok to put them on it or not? It says they come off after about 10 days anyway… By the way I have not injured my toenail that I can recall (but I did stub my pinky toe really bad when I was drunk about 3 mo. ago & broke it, could that have something to do with my big toe?? maybe I stubbed it too and did not realize it??)
